Olive feels homesick for her birth town Barrens. There she was separated form her parents long years ago. She wanted to pay a visit to her home place without telling anyone. She sought a few days holiday from Santa and Mrs. Claus and started her journey to Barrens.
When olive arrive Barrens she inquired a snowshoe hare , an owl and a seal whether any similar nosed living there. But she got a negative reply. Then olive headed towards the west. The way was snowy, deserted and wild. Shew heard a scream from the surrounding area. It was boomer her friend who fell down from his snow mobile. She rescued Boomer but fall under the notice of a gotcha standing nearby. At once the Gotcha chased olive nosed reindeer. Olive ran faster and harder and gave the gotcha kick. It fell down and moved away.
Olive disclosed to Boomer that she was desperately searching for her family. Boomer sat at the back of olive and both of them started their search. They headed towards the west and decided to take rest in cave after an exhaustive journey amidst snow. There was tunnel in the cave. Strange noise came from it. Olive and Boomer got into the tunnel. The gotchas in the tunnel chased them but Boomer blew them out through some fine tricks. Finally Olive discovered her family members at the end of the tunnel.
