A Kidnapped Santa Claus is a short follow-up of the book “The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus” by L. Frank Baum. The book illustrates a state when Santa Claus has achieved immortaliy and takes on four special deputies. Wisk the Fairy, Peter the Knook, Kilter the Pixie and Nuter the Ryl. A Kidnapped Santa Claus further develops his relationship with his deputies. These deputies worked in his place when Claus was captured by five demons. This book is also illustrated by Mary Cowels Clark. This book describes the life of Santa Claus when he was living in Laughing valley of Hohaho. On one side is the mighty Forest of Burzee and on the other the caves of the Daemons and between them there lies this smiling and peaceful valley.

A Kidnapped Santa Claus descibes that there are five caves of daemons. All the five daemons tied to tempt Santa in their own ways but failed to do so. The name of the daemons are allegorical and symbolic. Daemon of Hatred, Daemon of Envy, Daemon of Malice, Daemon of Repentence and Daemon of Selfishnes. The names manifest the negative aspects of human nature. These daemons trying to tempt Santa in a way suggest that all mortals are tempted by these passions. They in fact kidnapped Santa and tried to tempt him but failed. But the wicked demons at last realized that their capture of Santa was useless as on that Chrustmas day no one was selfish, envious or hateful. A Kidnapped Santa Claus ends with the realization of the daemons that children's saint has so many powerful friends and it is a folly to oppose him. The daemons thus never tried to interfere in his journey during the Christmas Eve.
