Like every one the Whos living in Whoville are no different from anyone else. But one man amongst them hates the Christmas from the bottom of his heart. He is the Grinch. Here we shall know how the Grinch stole Christmas. Like an evil creature he sets out to spoil every one's Christmas by disguising himself as Santa Claus. He takes up his dogs and trains them to behave as rein deers. Riding his dog- driven sleigh to each house in Whoville the Grinch plans to confiscate all presents. Apparently it seems the village will have a horrible Christmas this year and by the end of the story we see exactly how the Grinch stole Christmas.

As he steals every object of the children beginning from their bicycles to their tiny little toys, we get a greedy picture of Grinch. His anger and disgust for the Yuletide racket gets reflected in his selfish and harsh action. He treats his dogs badly. However once he has stolen every single object from the Whoville he undergoes a transformation. This part of the legendary story is a a major favorite among the children. Once we have seen how the Grinch stole Christmas it is time for us to witness the sea change that he undergoes. Dr Seuss uses a magical rhythm as he depicts the classic tale of how the Grinch stole Christmas.
More than anything the story is a silent study of a typical tribe of people. Children not only learn about kindness from the story but also about obtaining greater patience and fortitude. A classic of all times the movie version of how the Grinch stole Christmas was equally popular. With Jim Carry playing the role of the Grinch many know the story for the sake of the brilliant movie alone.
