Once Santa Claus desired to make acquaintance with the mankind. Hence he wanted to travel to earth and have an insight on the people living here. He started his journey and reached mankind crossing valleys, meadows and lakes. He found people living in villages in groups. Every family had children. As soon as he arrived the children circled around him and amused greatly. The children started playing with Santa, the boys climbed on his shoulders, while the girls stroke his arms and the babies tangled his knees.

Binkie was the pet cat of Claus. It used to seat beside the hearth. On a frozen night the naughty elf Jack Frost expressed his desire to eat out soft noses and toes of the small babies n the village. Santa became very worried that there will be no babies after the night. The cat used to sit beside the fire and glanced at his sad face. Santa was upset because he will not be able to meet the children due to the heavy snow. Santa passed time preparing a craft . He took a wooden stick and carved part of it. The shape resembled the head of the cat with two ears plunging upward. This was the first toy gift crafted by Santa.
