Tommy Gheesling is the story of a physically disabled man. Due an unknown accident or a genetic problem he faced difficulty in speaking and walking. Yet he always tried to help every body in his own little way. Christmas was drawing near and Tommy Gheesling found out that the local home for retarded men never celebrate Christmas. Nobody does anything for them, while the entire world spends the entire day in pomp and glory. Soon Tommy Gheesling started collecting fund as a part of the donation for these retarded men. As he helped people in their every day work he asked for a helping hand and donation for the retarded men in town. An ailing health, speech problem nothing came in the way to stop Tommy Gheesling from helping the poor and the needy.

Soon there was enough fund to donate to the home for retarded men. Like a true Christ in disguise, Tommy Gheesling achieved much. He brought a rare smile on the face of the retarded men. Besides he also raised an awareness about true social service. Selflessly he worked for the retarded men, like a Sacrificial Chris. That year, the home for the retarded men spent a splendid Christmas. They included tommy too amongst them What Tommy achieved within none thought of it in years. He is probably one of those few people who have mastered the essence of Bible without reading a single line on it. All devout Christians should know about Tommy Gheesling. In him lies the greatest knowledge to serve the poor and the needy. During Christmas most of us while away the time in pomp and glory. Christmas is indeed a time of celebration but it is at the same time a time for giving and sharing.
